Q: What does Celera do?
A: Turnkey, production-ready, custom analog/mixed signal integrated circuit design and development - 100x faster with automated AI-powered software.
Q: What is Celera’s key value proposition for customers?
A: Eliminate traditional barriers to Analog silicon development – time, technology, team, tools and cost – cut time to market by 3x-5x and increase R&D ROI by 50%-150% while eliminating risk
Q: How is Celera different from existing development flow and tools?
A: Celera is an automated end-to-end turnkey IC development solution, not a traditional EDA-like tool, algorithm or optimizer. The IP is true custom, parametrized and synthesizable – not inefficient and inflexible architectures like standard cell ASIC or programmable FPGAs
Q: How does Celera ‘automate’ Analog IC Design? Isn’t that impossible?
A: Celera’s AI-powered development platform ‘software-izes’ over 250 engineer-years of expert Analog Design experience - from configurable IP , modeling, simulation, synthesis, verification, layout to testing and qualification.
Q: What are the deliverables?
A: Industry Standard: System Design/Model, Custom IP/Synthesis/Layout, Verified GDSII tapeout, Validated Samples, Test/Qualification, Production Support
Q: Who owns the IP?
A: Any IP provided by customer remains property of customer. Customer receives perpetual license rights to Celera design and IP contained within.
Q: What is the silicon process?
A: Currently 0.15um BCDMOS 2V-80V. Others may be developed
Q: What products and applications?
A: Initially the focus is Power Management and related products. Other Analog/Mixed-Signal categories may be developed
Q: What about performance, die size, quality benchmarks?
A: Celera designs will meet or exceed all agreed specifications, cost and quality benchmarks
Q: What is the supply chain?
A: For samples/prototype Celera will manage silicon fab/assembly/testing/integration. For production the customer or Celera may manage backend supply including qualification and procurement.
Q: What does it cost?
A: The cost of using the Celera Platform depends upon the type of the project but typically less than the budget for comparable conventionally resourced development projects
Q: Can I try before we buy?
A: We provide prospective customers with demos and example samples/prototypes of representative projects for evaluation
Q: What information/materials/support is the customer expected to provide to Celera?
A: Minimum development specification/datasheet and ongoing access to engineering resources as needed. The specification may be drafted in conjunction with Celera
Q; What is the post sales support/warranty?
A: Celera’s support license will warrant and support all designs to meet stated/agreed specifications and to be ‘usable’ in specified systems as well as manufacturability.
